Happy Happy JOY JOY Tuesday

I had an awesome time fellowshipping with my homeschool JOY sistas Pam, Michelle, and Jess last night. Jess introduced me to the Victoria Station Frozen Oreo coffee. OH YUM! What a treat. We brainstormed and came up with a schedule for our co-op from September through December. It will be great to be on a planned schedule. I’m excited to have 3 of our “older” kids join the group this time. It’s going to be a great homeschool year! Here are a few of my favorite homeschool websites.

  1. Edify at Home used curriculum
  2. Homeschool classifieds used curriculum
  3. Homeschool Buyers Co-op ***Be sure to tell them I sent you (7xjoy4him@charter.net) This is a FREE site that has incredible buys on great homeschool helps. Also have Free classifieds and Free Homeschool ID cards. Definitely worth a stop.
  4. Homechooling ABC’s by Terri at Knowledge Quest ***this is well worth the $ if you are new or looking for new ideas to put some sparkle into your homeschool year. Over $275 worth of FREE info in this class.
  5. Homeschooling your High Schooler by Terri at Knowledge Quest ***even better than the ABC’s if you have an older student just entering high school. EXCELLENT info in here.
  6. Blackline maps for World & American History ***Another excellent resource from Terri.
  7. Frugal Living and Having Fun This is a FREE site by a homeschool Mama of 3. I have saved a ton of money by matching coupons with sales and getting free samples through this site. It’s definitely one you will want to follow.

Ok, I think that is enough to keep you busy on this lovely Tuesday. I will share more links if folks are interested. Just let me know. Today I am off to help a homeschool Mama in RI to get rid of some of her homeschool books by listing them on online used curriculum sites. Make me a blessing today Lord.

Just a quickie from God’s Word…remember our JOY comes from Jesus alone.
Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things, so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. He made known His ways unto Moses, His acts unto the children of Israel. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide; neither will He keep His anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the Heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our trangressions from us. Psalm 103:1-12

My God is AWESOME! More answered prayer

Ok, if you have been following along, you remember that the Lord has been answering prayers right and left over here. Well today, He did it again. My God is SOOO AWESOME! Here is a bit from yesterday to “catch you up”…

I thought I found the perfect deal, but that has since turned out to be not the right stuff. Obviously, my Lord has a better deal planned for us. I put Noah’s current curriculum on eBay and it sold in 2 days for the asking prices. GOD IS SO GOOD! He is my provider. He cares about my every need and even my desires.

Just a note here…Noah’s “current/old curriculum” sold for $105 on eBay in 2 days. Well today I tried to bid on one that went for over $260…didn’t get it. The Lord had better plans. I inquired about a partial set for $30 plus shipping, but had missed out on that deal. Then I found one on Homeschool Classifieds for $40 ppd. I took a chance and asked if she had any of the other parts to the set. Guess what? She did! Ready for the price???? Yup, $105 ppd. My God is so AWESOME! I have been praising Him and thanking Him all day long! I think Hebrews 10:36 is going to become one of my newest favorite verses!!! :-)

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Hebrews 10:36
Wives, submit to your husbands! It works…God’s Word says so! Have a JOYful day praising our AWESOME God who provides our every need and the desires of our heart.

One more thing to share…I LOVE my hubby so much. I heard a crash from the kitchen and then silence. I forgot about it since I figured my wonderful hubby would just clean it up. Well, like 5 minutes pass and then comes my SAD hubby with my JOY mug and asked “Do you want me to glue it?” He was so cute I had to take his picture and post it here. I loved my JOY mug. I drank out of it daily…but I love my hubby oh so much more! My JOY comes from Jesus. If you happen to find a mug like this on your travels some day in a Sally’s Boutique (aka Salvation Army Thrift store) or a consignment shop, please pick up for me! I would like to replace it…but I will have patience and WAIT ON THE LORD!

TEACH homeschool convention

Had a great day with Dan today. We went to a homeschool convention together. We are praying about his classes for next year and the Lord answered our prayers with some great info today. I’m sure we will be blessed even more tomorrow…and my hubby gets to come along too!!! YAY! Lord-willing, we won’t end up in a yucky neighborhood on the way there! Thank you LORD for allowing us to homeschool our children! We are so blessed.
